Aidan Yoder began his racing career at the age of 11 in the Los Angeles Karting Championship (LAKC). Quickly climbing the ranks, he rose through 5 classes in 3 seasons, ultimately competing as the youngest competitor in the X30 Senior Pro Class at age 13 and finishing 3rd overall in the LAKC Championship.
In 2018 Aidan competed in a few races of the F4 US Championship as the youngest of the 51 drivers. After a season best finish of 12th in 2018, Aidan's 2019 started by achieving pole position in the rain at Road Atlanta and ultimately a season best of P9 at COTA. At the beginning of 2020, Aidan dominated the F4 Yacademy Winter Series in Florida with an amazing 6 podiums in all 6 races, winning the overall Championship title.
Toward the end of 2020, Aidan transitioned into endurance racing in a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR. Racing in the World Racing League Endurance Championship for 2021, Aidan took 4 podiums, including wins at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the inaugural 24 Hours of Sebring, ultimately clinching the Series Championship.
2022 brought another step in Aidan's career, competing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Championship North America. As the first American driver to cross the finish line at the World Finals in Portimao, Portugal, Aidan eventually finished eighth in the Pro Class.
In 2023, Aidan joined local team, Precision Racing LA in the inaugural Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup North America. The series consisted of 14 rounds in identical Toyota GR86 race cars at some of the best circuits in North America. Aidan achieved 7 top ten finishes, 1 pole position and 1 third place podium at the Music City Grand Prix at Nashville.
For the 2024 season Aidan has re-signed with Precision Racing LA. "I truly am beyond excited to join my Precision Racing LA family for another season of GR Cup racing. This will be the first time in almost 5 years that I’ll be running in back-to-back seasons with the same car, team, and championship. PRLA and I built a strong relationship last season; we immediately hit it off and found success very early on in our campaign together. Having visited all but one of the 2024 season’s circuits in the GR Cup last season, I know that the experience I gained during 2023 with PRLA will pay major dividends throughout the season. We’ve become a tight-knit family that will only grow stronger in 2024.
I feel very honored to carry support from Segra for this season as well. Our partnership found instant success with a podium in the Music City GP on Segra’s GR Cup debut last season. Meeting all of Segra’s employees in Nashville was an empowering experience that heightened my drive for continued success, and having their support in 2024 is something that I do not take for granted.
I want to thank Mario Biundo and everyone at Precision Racing LA for their continued belief in me. We’ve got the feeling that a very special 2024 lies ahead of us, and I cannot wait to get back behind the wheel!"
Aidan managed his successful racing career while attending a traditional public high school, where he played trombone and led the award-winning marching band as their Head Drum Major. Passionate about helping others, he mentored new students through the school’s Link Program and served in the nationally known Peer Listener program; and now channels that passion into high performance racing and driver coaching. Aidan is currently a full-time student at California State University Fullerton, studying Business Information Systems to bridge his practical racing experience with the formal business knowledge needed to fully succeed in the motorsports industry.
